Registry Mechanic 9.0 Review

without comments

Registry Mechanic is a paid-registry cleaning tool. If your computer’s registry for errors that can slow down and crash your computer. The software comes with a full toolbox for finding and repairing the registry.

Registry Mechanic can detect a range of registry errors such as invalid references to uninstalled programs, missing help files and virtual devices, broken shortcuts, uninstalled fonts and configuration files. Additionally the software can also automatically repair invalid entries at Windows start-up.

The latest version comes with several improvements. These include backups, the Registry defragger, and a Tuneup Services option that optimizes Windows boot services.

On the minus side however, the user interface lags behind. It appears a bit jumbled, and doesn’t present the user with clear-cut directions on how to use the software to clean the directory.

The trial version comes with many restrictions and so it is difficult to measure the effectiveness of the software. The trial version allows for only five sections of the registry to be repaired. Other features like the compacter, defrag, and system optimization do not work in the trial version.

To conclude, Registry Mechanic is a good registry cleaning tool. However, there are better ones available. And some of them are free! For example, CCleaner. You can buy Registry Mechanic for some of its unique and advanced features.
